Ocean Freight RORO Category Descriptions

🚗 Autos Category 1 (Cat1)

  • Automobiles and Small Vans
  • Up to 650 cbf / 18.41 cbm — typical size sedans, smaller SUVs & vans
  • Examples: Toyota Corolla, Honda CRV
  • Middle East spec: Under 1.6m high, under 2.6m wide, under 6m long

🚙 Autos Category 2 (Cat2)

  • Larger Automobiles, Trucks, Big Vans
  • 651-899 cbf / 18.41-25.46 cbm
  • Examples: Toyota Sequoia, Ford F250
  • Middle East spec: 1.6-2.15m high, under 2.6m wide, under 6m long

🚛 H&H - Category 1

  • Trucks, trailers, buses, travel trailers, motorhomes
  • Special units like ambulances, fire trucks, boats on trailers, man-lifts, cranes, drill rigs
  • Max Width: 102" / 8'6"
  • Max Height: 162" / 13'6"
  • Max Length: 80' (tractor-trailer), 60' (trailer only)
  • Max Weight: 50 tons/piece | Min: 15 CBM/invoice

🏗️ H&H - Category 2

  • Agricultural, construction, and mining equipment
  • Over-dimensional units (e.g., cranes, rigs, industrial vehicles)

Vehicle Operational Status

✅ Run & Drive:

The vehicle must move under its own power and operate safely. Disqualifiers include broken windshields, faulty brakes, or a non-functional driver’s side door.

⚠️ Nonrunner:

Vehicle is operational but doesn't move by itself (e.g., needs a new starter). No fluid leaks. Driver's side door must be functional.

🚫 Forklift Required:

Used when the vehicle can't be safely driven or pushed (e.g., leaking fluids, missing keys, damaged axles, broken steering, glass, or biohazard). Unsafe vehicles must be handled by forklift.
