This page explains how AutoBid.auction ("we", "us") collects and uses your information, and sets out our Refund Policy for deposits and payments. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account details you provide: name, email, phone number, and address.
  • Verification documents you submit to activate your account.
  • Transaction and bidding activity carried out on your account.
  • Basic technical data such as log information needed to run the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and activate your account and verify your identity.
  • To process deposits, bids, invoices, and refunds.
  • To provide customer support and send service-related notices.
  • To detect and prevent fraud and to comply with legal obligations.

3. Payment Data

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor(s). Your full card or banking details are entered on the processor's secure page and are not stored on our servers. We retain only the transaction reference and status needed to reconcile your buying power and invoices.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with payment processors, verification/identity providers, and other service providers strictly as needed to operate the Website, or where required by law.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Some data must be retained to meet legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention requirements.

Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how deposits and payments made through AutoBid.auction are refunded. Deposits fund your prepaid "buying power", which is used to place and settle bids.

a. Held bids released automatically

When you place a bid, an amount is held against your buying power. If you do not win an auction, or if you cancel a bid while you are not the highest bidder, the held amount is released back to your available buying power immediately and can be reused or withdrawn.

b. Cancelled auctions

If an auction is cancelled by us, all amounts held for that auction are refunded in full to every participating bidder's buying power.

c. Failed or cancelled payments

If a deposit payment fails or is cancelled at the payment processor, no buying power is credited and no charge is retained. If any amount was captured in error, it is refunded in full to the original payment method.

d. Refund of unused buying power

You may request a refund of your unused, available buying power (buying power that is not currently held against an active bid or applied to an invoice). Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method.

e. Non-refundable amounts

Once you win an auction and an invoice is issued, the amounts owed for that vehicle (sale price and associated fees) become due and are non-refundable, because vehicles are sold "AS IS, WHERE IS" and such sales are final. Third-party payment-processing fees may be non-refundable.

f. How to request a refund & timeframe

To request a refund of eligible amounts, contact our support team with your account email and transaction reference. We review refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.
